George Miller’s ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Trailer Reaction & Stills

It’s here! The insanely riveting and action packed trailer of George Miller’s fourth Mad Max film, Mad Max: Fury Road has arrived! Miller has said way back when that “He’s a rebooted Mad Max, but it’s a new interpretation.” about Tom Hardy playing the new anti-hero. I had seen a snapshot of Charlize Theron will her hair shaved previously and I went absolutely bonkers! Everything about this trailer just screams badass! Visually, the trailer is undeniably stunning with its detailed and epic scale of production design and action! This post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. With a cast this bold, badass, and beautiful, Mad Max: Fury Road is going to be one hell of a ride and a feast for the eyes! The film comes out in May 15, 2015!

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Trailer Reaction & Stills

OMG! Here is the 3rd and extended trailer for the much anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy film starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Dave Bautista. Normally, I would say having three trailers is kind of overkill but they show enough new footage and action that spurs the hype even more. And if that wasn’t enough, they perfectly timed this trailer release with the 17 minute sneak peek of the movie in selected theaters! I hope there is still some mystery left in the film. I mean, after researching for stills and trailers, I feel like I’ve seen the entire film already but I am still very excited for the movie! Also if you haven’t already seen the incredible Vector Artwork by my friend Mary, DO! It’s incredible. From what I can recall, Guardians of the Galaxy is probably going to be one of the last blockbuster of this summer. Can’t believe summer films are coming to a close! The film comes out August 1st!

Glenn Close?!

First Look at Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s ‘Birdman!’

OMG!! What is this! I am been deprived of truly mind-imploding cinema as of lately! So you can understand my overly enthusiastic and giddy excitement when I heard that one of my favorite Spanish filmmakers Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Babel, Biutiful) is coming out with a new film called Birdman! Michael Keaton plays an actor who, sometime after achieving fame for playing a superhero, sets out to redeem himself by staging an adaptation of Raymond Carver’s What We Talk about When We Talk About Love on Broadway. The premise might sound a little wonky but have no fear because after you witness the insanity that ensues in the teaser trailer, you will be surely drunk on ecstasy for this film as I am!!!
Clearly, I am not the only one who was surprised at Keaton being the main actor in this film because we all know, his glory 90’s days are unforgettable as Beetlejuice and Batman. AMIRIGHT? But seeing his mental state completely unravel to angry mush makes me all warm inside. This casts is basically compiled of my dream team starting with Emma Stone, Edward Norton, Naomi Watts, Amy Ryan and Andrea Riseborough. Zach Galifianakis is also in it but you all know how I feel about him. This Birdman trailer is absolutely bonkers and loaded with enough special effects that it leaves a bad after taste in my mouth but I’m hoping his usual gritty trademark filmmaking is still intact to deliver us another profoundly universal story. Just the opening sequence alone of Keaton nonchalantly gliding back stage to a soothing cover of  Gnarls Barkley ‘Crazy’ is an intensely beautiful showcase of the power of Inarritu’s vision! (That tracking shot though!!) Either way, I am enthused with this possible new direction he is taking with cinema. Hopefully we see it soon at Toronto or something! Birdman comes out October 17!
